There is a plentiful parking area in the center of the area, so if it is not summer and hot weather parking can be found right from the center of Ahvenisto.
The place contains lots of easy or medium trails that are runnable and rideable with most bikes by most bikers. The lake is source based and clean, so that combined with small elevation around, the place has some uniqueness.
Ahvenisto is totally surrounded by urban areas, so not possible the lost, and even upon an injure there actually hospital close by.
